I would like to do some more research on the quantitative representation of these classic lenses, and then make sure that the files and calculations we do with them make sense.

			We could use these scripts to illustrate the ABCD matrices to assess their paraxial performance.

			ABCD calculations in general is a related goal. Not quite the same, but close.

They were first proposed by James Clerk Maxwell about 170 years ago, and subsequently discovered in fish eyes.

			I think we could take the code from the second paper and integrate it into the oiCompute() part of ISETCam, or perhaps make oiComputeGRIN(). Then we could experiment with some model eyes. Maybe possible. Definitely interesting to try.

This is one of the largest publicly available collections of dermoscopic images of skin lesions that have been used in ISIC challenges over the years. Although several researchers have emphasized the need for image metadata specifically for the ISIC database (Caffery et al, 2018, Daneshjou et al, 2022), their specifications about imaging systems is lacking. Given the empirical data obtained by the team and an analysis of the ISIC database, one could write a paper describing what, how and why image systems metadata should be obtained and stored along with the image data.
